Why Prescott is callingYour insurer flagged the panel. We fix that.

Nearly half of Prescott's homes went up between 1970 and 1999, and that is where Federal Pacific Stab-Lok and Zinsco panels live. Many Arizona carriers now decline or non-renew a policy once an inspection names one. Every home sale in that vintage produces an inspection report, and every report with an FPE or Zinsco note produces a phone call to us.

We have replaced panels since 2016. The job is the same every time: permit, new load center, every circuit landed and labeled, inspection passed, and a letter your insurer will accept.

  • Written quote from two photos. Text us the open panel and the meter. Permit included in the price.
  • Permit and inspection on every swap. City of Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, Dewey-Humboldt, or Yavapai County.
  • Insurance letter and a filled-out directory before we drive away.

Questions we get on the phoneStraight answers

Is my Federal Pacific or Zinsco panel insurable in Arizona?

Often not. Many Arizona carriers decline a new policy, or will not renew, once an inspection names a Federal Pacific Stab-Lok or Zinsco panel. Replacing it with a modern load center, permitted and inspected, is what they ask for. We provide the photos and the letter they want.

How long is the power off during a panel replacement?

Plan on most of a day. We start in the morning, APS pulls the meter when the service is involved, and the house is back on by evening with every circuit labeled. We tell you the day before what to unplug and what to expect.

Do I need a permit to replace an electrical panel in Prescott?

Yes, in every Quad Cities jurisdiction. We pull it, meet the inspector, and close it out. The City of Prescott issues same-day permits for panel replacements up to 200 amps. A panel swap without a permit is the thing the next home inspector finds.

Can I add an EV charger to a 100 amp panel?

Sometimes. We run a load calculation first. A 40 amp charger with load management often fits on a 100 amp service. A 48 or 60 amp charger on a house with electric heat or a hot tub usually means a 200 amp upgrade, and we will say so up front.

Do you sell generators?

No. We do the panel side: transfer switches, interlock kits, generator inlets, and generator-ready panels. If you want a standby unit sized and sold, we will tell you who to call, then wire what they deliver so it passes inspection.
